- Island Hopping. Explore the different islands in the Philippines. - Shopping. The 3rd biggest mall in the world can be found in the Philippines. After a day spent shopping here, you can relax at any of the numerous restaurants facing the bay and catch the famous Manila Bay sunset. For high end labels, there is Greenbelt Mall and Bonifacio High Street.
- Night Life. Manila is teeming with clubs and bars that play everything from reggae to trance, jazz to rock and everything else in between on any given night. Live acts are numerous as the Filipinos are a very musical people. You can even be a rockstar and sing along onstage with a live band every Monday “Rockeoke” nights at Mag:net Café in Taguig City. For those who prefer to party on a beach ala “Ibiza”, Boracay is the place for you where the famous tag line is “What happens in Boracay, stays in Boracay”.
- Water Sports. With one of the longest coastlines in the world, it is not surprising that there are many water sports that can be indulged in. Several international competitions are held in the Philippines: the Siargao International Surfing Competition in Siargao, the World Wakeboarding Competition in CamSur, the Neil Pryde Windsurfing Cup in Boracay and the Bez Tormozov Kiteboard Cup also in Boracay. Aside from these, there is also hobie cats, river rafting, jet skiing, parasailing, yachting and kayaking.
- Adventure Sports. For those who love nature, the Philippines also offers mountaineering, hiking, biking and camping. Apo, a dormant volcano considered to be the highest mountain in the Philippines with an elevation of 2,954 meters and a small crater lake at the peak. The second highest peak in the Philippines is Mt. Pulag, considered to be one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country teeming with different flora and fauna which makes it a favorite destination for campers.
- Health and Wellness. - Sightseeing. There are two UNESCO Heritage Sites that can be found in the Philippines: The Tubbataha Reef in Palawan and the Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao, fondly dubbed as “the 8th Wonder of the World”. Other favorite tourist spots are:
- Hacienda Luisita, a sprawling coconut plantation that is now partly converted to a resort where tourists can have a glimpse of what plantation life in the Philippines once was like.
- Taal Volcano, a lake within a volcano within a lake that is a one-hour drive from Metro Manila. For the more adventurous, you can even take a boat ride across the lake and go for a 2-hour long trek to the crater of the volcano and take a dip. Hobie cats are also available for rent at the nearby Taal Lake Yacht Club.
- Pagsanjan Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the Philippines because of the scenic boat ride through the Pagsanjan River. This place can be recognized from the award winning movie “Apocalypse Now” which was shot in the Philippines.
- Mayon Volcano with its near perfect cone is a sight to behold. One of the most active volcanoes in the Philippines, the worst eruption occurred in 1814 and buried the entire town of Cagsawa in lava. The belfry of the church tower can still be seen to this day.
- The famous Chocolate Hills and the Philippine Tarsier can both be found in Bohol and are both very unique sights in the Philippines. The Chocolate Hills are composed of exactly 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills spread over an area of 50sq km. The tarsier, on the other hand, is one of the world’s smallest primates and can fit easily in the palm of your hand.
- Corregidor is a small island fortress strategically located at the entrance of Manila Bay, about 50km west of Manila. Corregidor was the last bastion of the Philippines and the rest of Asia during the onslaught of the Japanese Army in World War II. Today, it serves as a memorial to the bravery and courage of the Filipino soldiers that fought in that war.
- Vigan is the oldest surviving Spanish colonial city in the country with very few new buildings built in the area. The surrounding province of Ilocos Norte is also famous for historic churches that were built during the times when the Philippines was still a colony of Spain.
- Visit the picturesque mountain town of Sagada and explore the impressive stalactite caves that features shimmering underground streams and massive crystal formations. You may also find here the hanging coffins which is part of the burial ritual of one of the local tribes.
- Baguio City is the summer capital of the Philippines and a favorite destination for local tourists due to its cooler climate in the hot summer months of March to May.

- Festivals. The Philippines is a colorful and vibrant country and this is evident in the numerous festivals or what is locally known as “fiestas”, spread throughout the year all over the country. Some of the more famous ones are the Sinulog Festival in Cebu held every 3rd Sunday of January, the Ati-Atihan Festival in Kalibo (close to Boracay) also held in January, and the “Panagbenga”, a local flower festival held in Baguio City in February and
