Travel through time and visit Old Intramuros, the Walled City, colonial Spain’s former stronghold in the Philippines. Follow the steps of Jose Rizal, the country’s national hero inside Fort Santiago, a Spanish medieval fortress that used to be Spain’s strongest bastion in the East. Stop at San Agustin church or maybe take a calesa ride through the cobbled streets. Then get transported back to the midst of high-rise city living as you go down Ayala Avenue in the heart of the country’s commercial business district. Finally, head to the Mall of Asia, the 3rd largest mall in the world and choose from hundreds of shops to wander in or perhaps watch the famous Manila Bay sunset at one of the many restaurants facing the bay.
